Michelle Ammann

Michelle Ammann is the Founder and Owner of Art by Michelle Marie, a Long Island-based creative studio specializing in hand-painted murals, seasonal storefront window art, and original artwork. After earning her master's degree and spending three years as an elementary school teacher, Michelle made the difficult decision to leave education in pursuit of a more fulfilling creative career.

 

Drawing on years of artistic experience—including her time as a sign artist at Trader Joe's—she built her business from the ground up, transforming a passion for large-scale art into a thriving brand.

 

Today, her work brightens schools, local businesses, and commercial spaces across Long Island, while her online shop has grown into an international business, shipping original artwork and bestselling coloring books to customers around the world.

At the heart of Michelle's philosophy is the belief that success comes from taking action before you have everything figured out and trusting that growth comes through consistent practice. She encourages aspiring entrepreneurs to embrace uncertainty, learn by doing, and recognize that mastery is earned through what she calls "brush mileage"—the countless hours spent refining a craft.

 

Passionate about creating art that brings joy to communities, Michelle believes authentic relationships, organic storytelling, and genuine creativity are more powerful than chasing shortcuts.
