Giovanni Cesarano is the Co-Owner of King Umberto, one of Long Island's most iconic pizzerias and restaurants, carrying on a family legacy that began when his father immigrated from Naples, Italy with little more than determination and a passion for great food.

 

A second-generation restaurateur, Giovanni worked every role in the business—from busboy and coat check attendant to operator—before taking over alongside his brother. Today, he leads with a commitment to honoring the restaurant's traditions while continuously innovating through new menu concepts, authentic techniques, and an unwavering focus on quality.

 

Under his leadership, King Umberto has become known not only for its legendary Grandma Pie but also for constantly elevating the guest experience through craftsmanship, hospitality, and thoughtful innovation.
